Åkrafjorden Jakt offers hunting for red deer in Kvinnherad and Etne
municipals in Hordaland county.
In the fall of 2011 we have had a very good hunting season and many satisfied groups!
Time period:
At present, the hunting season for Norwegian Red Deer is from September 10. to November 15.
This might be extended to September 1. to December 23. A decision is
expected some time at the beginning of 2012, but for the time being, it
is only possible to book hunting for the period between September 10.
and November 15.
In general:
Our program suits both experienced and inexperienced hunters. We have a
long experience with hunting, and therefore it is possible for both
freshmen and experienced hunters to learn something new. We form groups
of typically 4 to 8 hunters. Each group is led by a guide, who is very
knowledgeable of the area. He will be out with you in the hunting
grounds, organize the hunt and help you with tracking deer. The guide
can also help with slaughtering and transport of the meat. We can train
you in effective methods of slaughtering and cutting up the deer.
Hunting ground:
In fall 2012 we plan to have about 20 hunting
grounds (in Norwegian: "Vald"). We have many different types of terrain, both
light and rough. We can therefore customize the hunt to the wishes and
condition of the hunters.
Food and accommodations:
You will be accommodated in one of our many cabins and mountain huts.
Basically, you will organize your own food,
however, we can provide a cook at an additional
cost.
